FM Intranets
This unit is responsible for providing general administrative support to the division in the areas of financial services (budget allocation, accounting, purchasing, liaison to University business offices) and operational services (materials management for power plant).
It consists of the following two (2) functions:
Accounting Office:
This area is responsible for monitoring, verifying and posting Facilities Management accounts payable; posting, monitoring and preparing Facilities Management monthly billings; preparing accounting entry corrections as required; and preparing monthly financial reports for distribution, purchasing and processing, time and materials contracts. This function also monitors personnel activity to ensure procedural compliance and keeps the personnel database current.
Operations:
This area is responsible for the purchase of utilities for the entire university. This includes purchasing natural gas, electricity, and water for the power plant as well as any buildings not serviced by the power plant.
